I went to the actual theater releases and watched them
The dub is bad. Not completely shit, but pretty bad. I think they cut a few scenes here and there too

It doesn't help that Winckler's dubbing methods literally haven't changed since Tekkaman the Space Knight in the 80s.

I also saw them at Alamo, there were no cuts. I would have been happy for Ginga S to have been any shorter.

The dubs are... fine? I dunno, my kid appreciated that they spoke English.
