afaik there's three versions of the book, the first two, MS Era and MS Era 0099 are in English (because they're in-character books from the UC).
The original MS Era has much more obtainment of crabstick than the revised 0099 version, and there's a few pics that are slightly different iirc, like the photoshopped Byg Zam pic is in black and white in 0099.
Popular Edition is in Japanese, is missing that page with Fentess's self-portrait, and I'm pretty sure it's softcover, too.

oh and also 0099 has a preface by the authors bitching about how the Titans influenced the creation of the original book that I'm pretty sure isn't in the original
