Thinking of painting a Geara Doga I just bought, but I'm not too sure. I know its unoriginal as fuck, but I do want one in grey, but at the same time I think its missing something by not having any color on it.

Keep in mind even something that on paper looks boring is brought to life in 3d on the model. A piece of plastic has more presence than the lineart. If you like a color scheme and it's not obviously too busy or clashing then it's fine.

Im also working on a paint scheme for a Geara doga MG. Im having a lot of trouble. I'm kinda thinking of doing navy and some tan or grey.

How about this?
I find that you almost always want to leave the hand covers as one of the suits main colors. Aside from that though, you have free reign on the arms. Why not go big and leave the grey to the main body?
Finally I've always liked the two-toned helmet look for heads but it doesn't seem to be a very common theme.
