Its the same animation in high quality, so no. To be fair though, its only really the first 10 episodes or so that look really bad. The rest range from average to excellent depending on the scene.

The first part (until that big ass explosion) was legitimately some of the worst anime I have seen in my life, from the writing, characters, animation, music -- everything was literally bottom of the barrel garbage.
Afterwards it gets slightly tolerable I guess.

Can't tell you now, but I saw it over a year ago and I remember just really hating the first quarter with a fierce passion. The last 3/4ths were tolerable enough to marathon all the way through in like one sitting. I don't want to watch the show again to exactly tell you what's wrong with the first part.

I like the more armored space knight concept over the more Toku design of the original Tekkaman, and the Blastor form of Blade is almost perfect... His tek-lancer is kind of meh for me, but the armor is fantastic.

Cheers guys just explored aegissub a little more and found the shift time function. Tested with the first 2 eps and it works a treat, gonna rip the other episodes' subs too.

Well it's done, ripped all the G_P subs and shifted their time forward by 0.5 seconds. Tested with the first 3 eps (thanks aussie internet) and the timing's about right.

I love this show, probably my favourite /m/ series that isn't outright mecha, probably top 5 regardless.
