Good taste, I'd love a Tiger & Bunny sequel since it ended with lots of space, and it was a good world, too. And it would be a sure bet for Sunrise since it's not been that long since the last one, and IIRC it's insanely popular among fujos and other demographics so it's bound to move tons of BD copies and also toys if they make more of those model kits.

Only question is whether they want to go through with a sequel. They stopped doing anything with it after the second movie, never mind the handful of IPs they work on nowadays.

A new Tiger and Bunny would be neat. It's arguably the perfect time since One Punch Man and especially Hero Academia are mainstream.

Good to know that alot of people want the 4th eldran to get a full show or at least something.

Director comments for Daiteioh says they're serializing a webnovel titled Counterattack of the 5th Dimension Empire, so focus the support there first.
http://www.yatate.net/raijin-oh/raijin-oh-main.html

No hints from the buddy complex person.

The dendoh guy was the new guy who got saddled with handling the final episode. And he considers it a very memorable work.

chart below the comments section that shows off possibility of more material.

Sunny 51% or higher
Cloudy 31%-50%
Umbrella lower than 30%
>>
>>15726178
As a sidenote, this website is also where the GGG Hakaioh novel is being serialized.

Is there anyway I can stuff the ballot?
I....need more Dendoh in my life.

considering that Dendoh and Daiteioh made the list after 17+ years? The support is there. Sunrise just needs to wake up and figure their shit out.

Too bad it'll never get translated because it's not Gundam

Why the fuck is Xenoglossia there

Better question is what the criteria for being an option on this survey even was
Obviously Gundam wasn't an option and neither were VOTOMS or Rayearth. If they were, I'm sure they would be above everything except the top 2.

Gundam has boatloads of shit anyway. Votoms is no slouch, compared to the things that are on the list.

Rayearth is pretty much done and over with. They did their series and OVA, they got their references in Reservoir Chronicle.

I guess the same is true of Mai-HiME?

Even Gundam stuff has a very low chance at translation. How many of them have even a partial fan translation? 2? 3?
I don't think any of them have ever finished. You've a better chance at getting some isekai or harem stuff translated realistically. Multiple such works have been finished, even if there's a half dozen in the series.
>>
>>15726730
>Rayearth is pretty much done and over with.
Merchandise says otherwise it could lead reviving franchise and new Rayearth projects.

>I guess the same is true of Mai-HiME?
It's possible back when HiME was airing it had a very huge positive reception and huge ShizNati fanbase. Sunrise knows about the fanbase still existing today.
>>
>>15725392

>1) Tiger and Bunny
This is because they want super action right? This totally isn't because of the gay shipping right?

>2) Code Geass Lelouch of the Rebellion
Well wish granted.

>3) Phi Brain: Puzzle of God
I'll be honest. I have no idea what this is.

>4) Valvrave the Liberator
...but, but, but a bunch of spammers on /m/ told me Japan universally hates Valvrave. Seriously though, major elephant in the room here. I can see why the thread has ignored it so far Even if VVV is only on the list due to proxies (which is likely) that's still one more Japanese fan than people claimed existed

>5) Kanzen Shouri Daiteioh
I'm all for more super robot shows. Does sunrise even remember how to do one though?

>6) Idolmaster: Xenoglossia
Wish thinking. After Xenoglossia, they'll never get within a mile of the Idolmaster IP again. The Idolmaster cultists are still mad about it.

>7) Buddy Complex
I thought it bombed finacially? I'm getting the feeling 2ch/2chan had a bunch of proxies that day. I'd love to see more, but we will see.

>8) Zegapain
Again might be another licensing issue.

>9) s-CRY-ed
I loved the show, but I don't see where they could fit a sequel in. It was pretty self contained, and after that last fight between the MCs, I'm content.

>10) Gear Fighter Dendoh
Could Fukuda still pull it off?

Phibrain got like three seasons and a bunch of games and spinoff stuff before just vanishing. It was big for a while but sunrise pushed it a bit too hard.
>>
>>15727857
>It was big for a while
It was never big, it aired on NHK which is a government sponsored channel akin to PBS hence why it got three seasons despite nobody watching.
>>

Rayearth was never a Sunrise property to begin with (both TV series and OVA were produced by TMS).

Anons, fujos are not to be underestimated. After all, the manga based on Osomatsu-San kept running for a reason even before the new season got confirmed.
>Does sunrise even remember how to do one though?
They just need to rehire Toshifumi Kawase, problem solved. I mean, does the guy even do anything nowadays?
>Could Fukuda still pull it off?
Knowing him, he'd probably pull a GGG Final on it.

I fucking wish yurifaggots had more money and influence. I remember Mai Hime was huge in 2004-08 mainly of ShizNat and Shizuru was in the Top 3 Sunrise popularity poll. The designs and characters in HiME/Otome got me hooked and it's damn shame because Hisayuki best work until he cont. to work on Queens Blade and that mobage game. I wouldn't mind Sunrise to do a new Mai Hime project as an OVA series as best.

The very fact that Phi-Brain, Xenoglossia, and Buddy Complex are on the list is a big hint that this shit was proxied fuck the very fact that Tiger and Bunny is 1# is a giveaway since the fanbase is well known for spamming these type of polls at every opportunity
>>
>>15725392
From the staff notes it sounds like Zegapain is being re-aired starting next month. Combined with the recent compilation (sort of) film and the staff's passion for the series I'm curious if there are actual plans to do something new with the property.

>The very fact that Phi-Brain, Xenoglossia, and Buddy Complex

This, happened the same thing with Cool Japan survey list of anime sequels back in November last year and put Tiger & Bunny S2 in the top of the list. Also it happen again in TV Tokyo Top 100 anime, an occurrence or what the fuck Sunrise is doing?

Could also be attributed to fujoshits
But then again, Tiger & Bunny was an actual good show that aired within the last decade, so it being remembered and wanted isn't all that far fetched

If it counts as mecha, I'd honestly call it the best mecha show of the 2010s thusfar

Really? Tiger and Bunny makes sense since the show was a huge success and has an intensely loyal fanbase but the shows listed all fucking bombed and aren't remembered at all. Its probably 2ch funposting again.
>>
>>15728601
>But then again, Tiger & Bunny was an actual good show that aired within the last decade, so it being remembered and wanted isn't all that far fetched
True but the fanbase is just REALLY obsessive and loyal to the point where they're always spamming these type of polls despite the fact that Sunrise (or rather Bamco Family Entertainment) hasn't thrown them a bone in years. Admittingly I'm fine with ranking 1# in the top 100 anime of all time since its not a "safe choice" like Madoka and it was pretty solid as a whole without feeling "oscar baity" either just people who generally fell in love with the cast and the setting.

Can't speak for the others but Valvrave actually does have a good number of fans on JP twitter that are usually quiet but will blow up for any VVV-related news no matter how small (like this poll). They even imported some of the shitty US merch Aniplex USA put out.

Also the poll doesn't list the numbers anywhere as far as I can see. The turnout might actually be smaller than we think which wouldn't make the results so strange for the shows with cult followers. Not to mention if this poll allowed people to vote more than once I wouldn't put it past them to have voted once a day.

Don't underestimate loyal fans of dead franchises, anon.

Actually tiger and bunny toys sold like shit. Its not a good license for very traditional figure/model product. Other merchandise does better, but those are from other types of manufacturers, just not Bandai. Within the last several years there has been a trend of merchandise sales shifting to other categories. The pace at which new IP becomes hot and suddenly cold keeps rapidly increasing also. Everything is flavor of the season and even if it is legitimately good, people will have moved on to the next thing immediately after it ends. It's extremely frustrating from a retail perspective because you either take a risk on investing in merchandise before the show starts hoping it doesnt flop, or after it ends with a short window for attention span before everyone is talking about th next show.
