Not seen Devilman Lady but the anime doesn't look appealing.

I think Devilman really only works in the context of the 70s incarnation, which includes the initial two OVAs from the late 80s. I've been reading the Amon manga and it feels massively overshot with too much focus on it being grimdark. That entire goth aesthetic they introduced to it from 2000 onward really ruin this character for me.

I think it's clear he never actually studied anatomy, then again a lot of comic artists and cartoonists actually didn't. It's a specific field of study even within art. But the guy has an eye for spreads. It's better than most spreads in comics even if the anatomy's lacking.
