They killed it because he was the only one who pushed for to even get made there. You don't find it odd whatsoever that he pushed hard and hard for it and then just up and leaves right in the middle of development yet goes on to say he'd totally go back to working on it if Capcom let him rather than just sticking with it until it was finished and then leaving to form his own company? Inafune never wanted MML3 to get made he was just playing us all so we'd be hyped for MN9 when he announced it.

Making a Tech Romancer anime, what story lines do you follow?
Kikaioh would be the focus traveling the world to challenge/recruit robots to fight against Goldibus, with Diana 17 as a major supporting role, maybe his guide. Pulsion Kai and Pulsion Kei would appear occasionally as two halves of Goldibus' former right hand that was split in two when he betrayed the emperor. Dixen, Wiseduck, and Rafaga units would be part of 3 warring factions that must put aside their differences until they take care of the alien invasion. No idea what to do with Twinzam.

I thought Twinzam V was supposed to be a Gear Fighter Dendoh reference (two kid pilots, martial arts), but Tech Romancer actually came first.

I remember someone mentioned here once that the teddy bear scene that appears in SRW the Inspectors was a reference to Hero Senki (1992), and not Gundam Wing (1995). The more you know.
