Sure, Banana gets away with a lot of shit but at least he wasn't a total asshole about it, he even shows remorse over killing somebody.

Mineva however, struck me as an insufferable bitch who only look for people when she needs help because she can't get shit done on her own and after that she simply discards them as she pleases.

Riddhe was a tremendous asshole and he deserves shit, but when you really think about it he would've taken it a little better if Mineva didn't keep shitting so mercilessly on him. She could've just pried him off without deliberately making him feel like a total loser by jumping off like that. And about that jumping, I'm pretty damn sure she knew that Banana was in the middle of a goddamn fight that could've killed him if he wasn't careful and yet she selfishly forced him to abandon everything just to save her glorified ass.

The part with Marida is the worst shit, I can tell they tried to make it seem better in the OVA because in the novels she actually went all out and demanded for the doctor to inject Marida with as much medication as possible so she could force her awake and pilot her mobile suit as a fucking stage of all things. I somehow just get the feeling that Marida is that loser friend who treats her well but gets shit in return. Poor girl.

Mineva is arguably the best thing about Unicron after the re-entry and Riddhe's Zeek Removal.
After that there's some dank designs, but otherwise Unicron was pretty meh.

Her actions drive a lot of the plot, trying to prevent the Sleeves and other Zeon remnants from starting a new war or using the box to bribe the Federation.

She starts the series sneaking away from the Sleeves on her own to try and stop them, or anyone else from starting a war using her family, the box or Spacenoid independence as an excuse. She also runs away from Riddhe's mansion alone when she decides she doesn't want to do things through political marriage as he's suggesting. She can't do anything on her own, because she's not a Gundam pilot more than anything, but she certainly tries a few times.

She already tried, hence the whole leaving him and his mansion when he suggests a political marriage thing; it didn't work. Riddhe tried to act like his name and family weren't what defined him and that he didn't want special treatment because he was from a rich and infleuntial family but he's pretty conceited and hated when things didn't go as he wanted so he didn't accept Mineva could choose another path until she did something reckless and extravagant to make it obvious.
