>Iris pretends to be an AI but is actually a human who stuck her consciousness in a computer. She has some history with Yuri. She says Yuri is a world-destroying monster who killed everyone dear to her and her goal is revenge. She wants Dearche and pals to kill Yuri But ALSO wants to take control of Yuri and force her to destroy the world which will supposedly make her very sad or something. (The movie ends before anything is really revealed)

Eh. I want to be excited, more action is nice and these designs are nice, but I'm still disappointed with the overall direction this seems to be taking. I was really hoping they would try to do something different with the movie continuity, but it's sounding like they're planning to just take it to StrikerS again, but inserting more shit in between. This whole thing's gonna be pretty pointless if we just end up in the same place we were before, but with even more characters to not care about.

I was also hoping this movie would finally give me some teen Nanoha action, but nope. Still lolis.

Honestly, taking the gear from Force and sticking it into literally any other story is a massive improvement over Force itself, so even though it's also incredibly lazy I still approve.

Honestly, I feel like if they give StrikerS the movie treatment and remove the unnecessary fluff, it would make an excellent set of films. StrikerS had some of the best moments in the series (Subaru vs Ginga, Nanoha's Blaster 3, and Fate vs Scag for example) as well as some solid character arcs, and really I'd say its issues were the pacing in general and the sheer amount of plots they were trying to work with, especially by second half.

If they cut it down to focus on Subaru and Co, Nanoha, Fate, Hayate, the Wolkenritter, and their respective villains (maybe adjust some of the villains' stories, though), I think it would be alright. We don't need all those extra protags they dropped on us by 2nd half

Yeah, StrikerS seemed like it was weighed down by having a bit too much time to work with. Suddenly going 2-cour might have contributed to the cast bloat and tossing all the subplots in.

It might be neat if StrikerS got made into companion movies, one focused on Nanoha and the old cast and one that's focused on Subaru and the new cast that has most of the Numbers' stuff. It would help each half feel like a comprehensive whole, since one of the issues I had with StrikerS was billing Subaru as the new main character when all her role in the plot was solely related to the minibosses of the season rather than the actual main antagonist. Of course, it would be kind of a gimmick and some scenes like the White Devil Incident would be difficult to decide which film to put them in for how important they are.

Nanoha started off as a typical mahou shoujo but then did their own thing with Fate.
Then one of the production staff noted that her barrier jacket made her look like a Gundam, and everything just rolled from there

The new device mechanical designs are great though I'm not all-in on the existing costume upgrades/tweaks or a few applications of the old Force stuff.

Stern and Dearche looks like they could be recolored and tweaked into magical girl Faiz and Delta with little problem and that amuses me.

Nanoha is quite unique amongst magical girls as her magic is another worlds technology instead of just hocus pocus, meaning Nanoha has a odd style of magical gifl mixed with hypertechnology...add to that spaceships and weapons that look like they fell off a gundam not to mention sci fi elements such as cloning, personality uploads, time dialation, absurdly large beam attacks and it makes for a heck of a /m/agical girl show

Nanoha is also unique in the fact that the magical girls are treated as part of a military organization. Nanoha has ranks, dress uniforms, and callsigns straight out of Ace Combat.

Reminder that TH3 Nanoha's brother is voiced by Midorikawa Hikaru and is stronger than everyone in the Lyrical Nanoha franchise

Most magical girls do unless they lose them at the end of the show. The difference with Nanoha is that she continues to have adventures well into adulthood, and we see that growing up has made her even stronger than she was as a child.
