Yeah I know this isn't /co/, but this sounded like a good fit for /m/. You might have even heard of the toyline. Anyway:

I like it myself. I'll pull it, it sounds pretty darn cool.
Might as well post other mecha comics in this thread.

We should have a sticky general. /x/ has one about comics and shows I think.

I haven't read Extremity in a while but it had a pretty nifty combat android. And Descender has a pretty novel concept, having machine "life" outlawed.
I think western artists are getting the hang streamlining robots just enough to give them more character and less greeble. I think Boston Dynamics have shown people that simplicity in design and complexity in function are more realistic/appealing concepts (relatively, at least).
Might as well post some of the designs from their site.
Athena
Hepheastus
Hades
Ares
Apollo
Zeus
Some of them together.

Apollo looks really good. Rest are alright. The metal beard on Zeus looks especially awkward

Holy FUCK I heard about this a long time ago, they had this super high-end toy line where the figures are all gods represented by corporate business men/robots/cyborgs/whatever

Oh damn, ABC Warriors! I used to read that back in the day!

Yeah, Zeus does look a little weird. I myself like Apollo best, with Ares and Hades close enough. Athena is kinda hot though...

Yeah, that's the gist of it. The mythological gods were the first "beings" of Earth, and now they have a kind of "working" relationship with the humans. It's a pretty cool concept. It could either blow up if the comic is good and become an indie darling, or tank completely. We'll see.

I remember seeing the figures come up for preorder on Amiami and thinking that they looked cool as fuck. The head designs and stylish modern clothing definitely appeals to me, might keep an eye out for this.
Apollo is so cool. We are in /m so i say, he would be a great gundam villan.

Full faced helmets like these are cool, but they have no personality and the designs are a little generic in my opinion.
