So i hit a gacha machine and got the rx78 in this pic, and noticed it was silver and called "rollout" color variation. Also saw there are other mobile suits that have the rollout variant. I used to really dislike most of the Zeon underwater suits, but now I love the Acguy 100%. Thunderbolt succeeded in making them one of the coolest, most versatile suits imo.
So when are we gonna get a HG or MG TB Acguy with an assortment of operator attachments? And do you reckon all the best attachments will be P-Bandai? A 'Daryl's Acguy' with the fold-out vision enhancement and special arm would be a must-buy for me.
Also what do Bandai gain from making P-Bandai only available in Japan? Surely it would make sense to market them overseas, a wider distribution would mean more sales right?

That's the sad part. I've got terrible shaky hands (genetic), so even denubbing is quite a challenge for me.
I modded what I needed, then had a friend handle the recoloring.
I instructed a friend during the paint mixing to get the proper tones, guided him on my desired parts masking, and then left the airbrushing work to him. We used Gaia Notes paint.
I paid him well. He's a lifesaver.

Then I just assembled the parts.
I do wish I went with dark grey instead of black for Hibiki and Tsubasa, though.

Don't give up and keep practicing man. One of the best modelers I know is in his 60s and has condition where his hands are so shaky he can't even write legibly anymore. And he builds stuff like this and complex ship models.

I didn't like working with vallejo model air white since it felt quite weird compared to the other colors they have. Even with quite a few coats it looks sort of weird up close under good lighting with lots of tiny spots that are whiter than the rest.

Apart from that, there are a few pieces that ended up being slightly darker than the others and I didn't notice until after I had assembled.

Oddly enough they are all the same kind of piece, there are four of them, and they are all like that while the rest of the white pieces feel a lot more even to each other in terms of how white they are.

I guess it is possible that I unintentionally painted those pieces less than the others, but I don't think so.

so how do people feel about heavy panel lines like dalong? I thought it looked excessive, but it's starting to grow on me

Actually I only painted the black, the red dots in the hip armor are the stock foils and the head crest is still bare plastic. all of the white is bare plastic and most of the skeleton inside is still bare plastic. the Dober gun has black and silver in some places but is mostly plastic. and i used one of those panel lining markers to bring out the thigh plates and the vents on his face, also some lines on the back. but basically, yes, i just painted the black.

Alright Boss-man, I've painted the skeleton black so his knees and thigh bits aren't nasty, also filled in some very small grey spots that were sticking out under the cockpit door and around the waist armor, i mixed up a darker grey and put it on his totally rad ab-crunch bar and used the same grey for grey parts of my Dober gun and painted the insides of his thigh skirts black because they weren't before, because i'm a disgusting savage, and finally touched up the shield rim and some spots where paint had chipped off. White is still clean though.
