Is wise to see Dancougar Nova or is just a waste of time?

It's short and alright. The best parts are basically the characters being pretty fun because you're not going in for a deep plot or amazing animation.

The fact I don't actually remember what happens for most of it outside of the characters says that to me, at least.

It's 13 eps, so you won't be down for much. I think it's worth it just for Aoi. (Not Waifu material, just interesting to see the typical super robot pilot routine done by a supermodel/race driver chick)

The mechanic chick definitely wasn't though; she's been in several relationships, and all proved unfruitful, and she ends up using her time as a mechanic as a means to cope.

Irregardless, both are still great gals.

Webdiver was actually pretty good outside of its extraordinarily shit animation. I liked the plot, especially the direction it took in the second half (which starts strong and then has a consistent string of really good episodes to help break up some of the more problematic moments).

I think the thing I'd say is closest to a waste of time is the Dagwon OVA, really.

Worst part is done, next is the fiddly part. At least episode 3 and 4 are bad in different ways. 3 has a stupid backstory sideplot. 4 just has well... I'm not sure how to phrase it beyond throwing out a rather key component of the original series in a really annoying way. Also complete lack of closure.

There was more plot to it than most shows from the 70s or early 80s.

They did a few things with it, though I agree that they could have done more. The second half has a lot of wasted potential, but it's balanced by a lot of the individual episodes being pretty neat.

There are significantly worse shows than Webdiver (I mean the same time period had total garbage like Zoids Fuzors and things like Daigunder and Gaogaigar Final and the Escaflowne movie) and there are more boring shows than Webdiver. I can't really call it a "waste of time" given that.

I can't think of many. Like, even with those episodic stories that you liked, I got nothing out of them because the characters were really generic and stereotypical. Technically competent, yes, but far from being able to make anything entertaining. And that's why it felt like such a waste of time, there was just nothing even remotely interesting about it aside from the admittedly neat mecha designs and that last episode that was way too good for the rest of the show

The only mecha show I've watched which I'd call legitimately even more boring than Webdiver is Kiddy Grade. IIRC I somehow managed to fall half asleep during almost every episode of that show
