Why does no one take aquatic MS seriously?
Kapool > Acguy
Because they're so cute!
>>15700083
>Thread complaining about nobody taking aquatic MS seriously
>Picture with aquatic MS bullying a Ball.
There's worse things in life, Anon.
>>15700083
Slice of life high school moe anime about aquatic MS when
People love Hygogg though
>>15700117
Zgok E is underrated in my opinion
>>15700083
Thunderbolt just came out
I think people take the Hygogg and Z'gok seriously.
Char's most iconic kill while piloting an MS was him in a Z'gok.
>>15700083
>Why does no one take aquatic MS seriously?
More like nobody took zeek aquatic MS seriously. It's as if nobody on the Zeon side stopped to think about how relevant a marine/amphibious MS would be during a war that took place mostly on land and outer space. This misallocation of resources is one of the major factors which lost the war for the zeeks.
>>15700350
What was their endgame? Did they develop the Aquatic MS for scouting purposes maybe? (Harder to detect something that's underwater)
>>15700083
>aquatic mech
>Space war
Because most of the aquatic MSes look silly (which was sort of the point, since the 0079 designs were intended to look like underwater monsters during 0079's production).
>>15700451
Not any sillier than any other mobile suit.
>>15700113
Ask, and you shall receive.
>>15700083
SEA MS is for losers. LAND based is where its at.
>>15700445
To find jaburo mostly
Aquatic MS is justice
>>15700445
Like >>15700464 said, but Return of Johnny Ridden also said, and take this as you will, that Zeon thought having superior naval control and control of water way supply lines would of been more relevant so they blew their load on high quality aquatic MS, but the Fedderation in response did...basically nothing, and only made one aquatic GM and not in any massive scale so most of Zeon's aquatic MS basically just did nothing except the occasional assault on a base, and taking out the occasional submarine.
Then the feddies acquired a good chunk of them after the war and just used those.
>>15700480
Just Belfast, Madras, Hawaii and Jaburo underground.
At least according to Giren's Ambition.
The Z Gok and Acguy function without terrain penalty on land according to game stats.
>>15700083
We are seeing more relevance now due to Thunderbolt's South Sea Alliance conflict. More water floatie units too.
Pic related
Zeeks thought Earth being 70% water means underground feddie bases and colonies, so they need a means to get there and gas the inhabitants
>>15700459
Zoids a best
>>15700459
SEA= South East Alliance
>>15700517
In theory their water-cooled mega particle cannons shouldn't have long endurance out of the water.
Thunderbolt S2 has been a godsend for aquatic MS
>>15700229
No proper aqua gundam
>>15701049
They're like really well-armed toddlers and it's so fucking cute
>>15700451
No more sillier than samurai robot with clown colors.
I really like the Guncannon Aqua (both manga and anime ver)
>>15702978
yeah, but most MS have human like proportions and those that don't often look weird and sill in comparison(aquatic ms, BIG ZAM!, etc)
War is the pocket did a really good job
>>15700451
>Silly
Personally I think they look cool as all hell.
>>15700451
>zeon aquatic ms resemble amphibian kaiju
and thats why theyre awesome
>>15700083
You saw that scene in TRY with the frozen lake, right?
>>15700083
>Why does no one take aquatic MS seriously?
Acquatic MS are a joke.
What can it do that a submarine can't especially with the kind of gigantic submarines you see in the UC ?
>>15703907
Comparing a MS to a submarine? You might as well compare them to tanks or spaceships.
>>15703907
Walk onto land?
Don't people hate aquatic mecha in general? I'd think that's the reason, especially since anything to do with deep-sea activity is considered boring nowadays.
>>15703988
Who dislikes aquatic mecha as a rule? Also, since when is deep sea combat boring?
>>15704007
>Who dislikes aquatic mecha as a rule?
I guess it's not really a rule. Maybe 'hate' was too strong a word, but but the impression I've gotten over the years is that they're usually seen as underwhelming. Especially when they're out of their element in a work of fiction, like in toy-based TV shows. I know they have their fans (especially ITT).
>Also, since when is deep sea combat boring?
When it's portrayed as jumping out of the water for sneak attacks and then jumping back in. Or when it imitates submarine battles.
>>15704030
>When it's portrayed as jumping out of the water for sneak attacks and then jumping back in
God, this is the worst. Actual cool underwater fight scenes are awesome though, it's like space combat with all the weight of ground combat. Also, there's nothing cooler than fighting close to crush depth.
