You get from A to B in an environment constantly changing from the disaster IIRC. You also get to do a little side quest here and there when you move such as helping other civilians or making new pathways.

Oh HELL yes, they're using Legion for Gamera's villain. That's going to be pretty horrible for these characters to live through.

Here's hoping this does well. Granzera, the makers, are the company that split off from Irem after Irem stopped making games. There's a decent chance they'll buy the R-Type licence if they have the chance (hell, they're named after the Granzera Revolutionary Army from R-Type Tactics 2), so if you've got any desire for another R-Type game, you'll be wanting this to sell well.

it's terrible. I have the 1st one for ps2. it's cool because it's one of the few games set in a japanese-esque city but the gameplay is lame.

So this game wasn't cancelled after all.

I saw something posted from the devs that seemed to be hinting at Mothra and Ultraman Tiga too.

I really hope this gets localized somehow, but most likely never. It would sell like shit over here in America.

It's interesting that stylistically, they didn't choose to make the game accurate to "real life" but to your typical Japanese live action show set in the "real world".
