Start with the OG anime. The original series is breddy gud but it takes half a season to kick into gear whereas the anime starts off instantly and serves almost as a parallel companion to the original in some ways. Watch the movie, then skip the second season.

This could only be considered 100% true if your ability to pay attention to detail is lacking a bit. Although the first half of the first series consists of stand-alone stories, everything is accompanied by a very subtle but important progression. At most, it's true that people tend to miss on most of said progression the first time they watch the series and become able to really notice/value it on a rewatch.

From a strictly technical point of view, you could start with the original GARO, YamiTera, Honoo no Kokuin or Guren no Tsuki (note that GnT is almost universally regarded as bad), but the original series has something really special that makes it worth it to try and go for it first. If you try it and it's not your cup of tea, you can try Honoo no Kokuin like anon suggested.

Nope, the nature of the series and it's inter-connectivity between titles means there are really only two recommended options for starters, the original and the first anime. The whole thing is pretty linear compared to a lot of other toku so there's not much need in a chart.

I meant total amount of time with that. The Knights obviously can't don their armor for more than 99.9 seconds each time. This means that they can only charge their swords with moonlight when these are not transformed.

We only know that moonlight is for running the armor. We don't know if the initial summon requires a full charge.
It could read as the user can summon his armor once every night initially. If the user detransforms before the counter hits zero there is still a chance for him to "recharge" or "turn the counter a few seconds backwards" for a re-summoning with the moonlight.

The logical evolution of kids toku, unlike the mess that actual kids toku has deevolved into. Basically Garo, or at least the good shows directed by Keita Amemiya, is toku for the grown ups that loved toku as children. It's more like 70's/80's toku with no age rating.
