Y-yes. If the new trailer is an example of what's to come, the sound quality is definitely much better than before.

I have no doubt the quality of your work is going to be great, and I understand how it can be hard to continue a passion project like this. But few as they are, you do have fans, so don't hesitate to find creative ways to keep the project going if you have to. Maybe even branch out to cover other mecha related stuff because dedicated as they are, mecha related podcasts and programs are very few and in between. This is just an idea. I know next to nothing about how YouTube works, so I'm sure you can cone out with something better. What I do know is that niche subjects could do fairly well if handled right, as demonstrated by the Emperor with Text to Speech series.

Also, I'm gonna break down what's still alive and what's dead, just to help fill in the gaps for everyone. There are also reasons beyond computer/data problems as to what the fuck happened, but they're not things I'll be diving into anytime soon. Anyway, let's get started:


What's alive:

MSGA 22 exists, but we have to revoice everything because some of the audio was lost on a (you guessed it) HDD failure. Here, this has been sitting on the channel for YEARS now, but I'm pulling back the curtain for a moment.

Gunpla Builder 2 also exists. I managed to save most of the audio, but the footage was lost. Working on it.


There's also a Haruhi One-Shot, but it's been living in the bowels of my old PC and hasn't seen the light of day in years. It's not mecha, but whatever.


What's dead:

Unicorn: We drew up a few scripts that were, quite frankly, a disaster. Believe me, this would've alienated even our die-hard fans. Here: this is the best part. It's all downhill from here.

Patlabor: This is a sad case because there were plans for MORE episodes, but Revy (the lead writer) left to go have adventures in Portland/Seoul, so that horse is basically glue. Sorry.


GitS:SAC: Literally three people outside of our circle knew this was a thing we were working on. One of them was Unwardil. I think you can see why we shelved that project.

Funny you should mention that. Back in 2012, I was working on a Planetside2 machinima with Revy. It was aimed at being a character driven war drama that revolved around the central plot of the source material: an endless war where death isn't permanent. It's a concept I've wanted to explore and see how awful good people become when the dead just come back after each battle.
Then as the Alpha and Beta for PS2 continued on, it was pretty clear that trying to film this was going to be a nightmare, not to mention the lack of set pieces, camera controls, and world building there was at that point. So, I consolidated everything we'd written and decided "Hey, let's just write a book or a series even."
Three years later, it's still going. The core of the story is still the same, but now I have the freedom to do what I want. For the moment it's shelved, mainly because I'm having to go back and fix part of the foundation as I dive further and further down that rabbit hole.

Seeing GWS stuff show up in my feed was a confusing surprise. Nice to see it back.

Maybe we can resurrect the tl;dw GW guy as well.
