So we know about androids being the definition of human-like robots and cyborgs defined as humans with cybernetic augments.

But what about robots with fleshy brains? Not like Cyborg or Robocop but everything being robotic except for the brain, the only organic matter? How are they defined as?

Examples: Hakaider (Kikaider) and Samuel Hayden (Doom)

Cyborgs.
>>
>>15678736
>Hakaider (Kikaider)

Hakaider's kind of a weird one in that he's both a robot and a cyborg.
>>
>>15678756
Because he was a robot first and then the brain got stuffed in him?
>>
>>15678736

That's literally still a cyborg.
>>

Hakaider was an AI (Saburo) that could interface with a human brain (Komyoji), though not directly being controlled by it.
Hakaider was a robot. The shitty Gill-Hakaider from 01 that flushed any science-y pieces of the character down the drain was a cyborg (though supposedly not really since Gill's ghost was a distinctly different personality).

Basically what this guy said. >>15678789

Huh that's weird. So basically a human brain controlling a robot body is still a cyborg but a robot that uses a human brain to power itself is still a robot. Correct?
>>

>but a robot that uses a human brain to power itself is still a robot. Correct?
That's not the situation.
>>
Would "jarheads" be a good name for robots with human brains?
>>
>>15679084
That usually refer to robots.
>>
>>15679084

Jarheads are US marines.
>>
Why are the T-800 Terminators classified as cyborgs if their organic parts are fake/synthetic?
>>
>>15679100

Huh. Good point.

Well, you know how the sapient/sentient robots in Gaogaigar are referred to as "mechanoids" as opposed to just mecha.

Also Motoko Kusanagi, who self-identifies as a cyborg
