He was also upset when the Americans were the ones to challenge him since he was hoping other Japanese engineers would make their own robots and then have it expand overseas

In case it's not clear, I'm not blaming Japan for not "helping" americans. I'm blaming them for not helping themselves. They don't have a competitive robot even though the fight is supposedly a month away. If you had finished reading the thread topic or any megabot news at all you would know that Megabots didn't expect any help from Japan. The Mk III was built w/o their involvement.

But remember that there are two robots in this, and literally nothing has been done so far on the Kuratas. It's smaller, much slower, weaker, and lighter by nearly ten tons. It's not even a joke, the MK.III would trounce it in fifteen minutes. It's an art piece that needed a serious rebuild in order to fight, which has to-date not been delivered.

Kuratas promised to upgrade their mech and do the fight this august. It is not unreasonable to be upset at them for seemingly making no effort to uphold their end of the deal.

And it was megabots inc that initiated the challenge, theyre the ones that want the international robot fighting league in the first place. Its on them to set it up. The kuratas team has no obligation to do anything other than to show up.

The more recent fight announcement came across as a desperate attempt to keep peoples attention so they don't loose their funding. They pretty much say in the video that they have no idea what the kuratas guys are up to. They couldn't even announce a venue, they just threw out a date. Theyre just stringing people along with hype to stay relevant, its what theyve done since the beginning. I mean theyre actual robot doesn't even look like the one in their logo.
