After War X Thread

I too regularly wonder why something explicitly made to be an AU is in fact an AU, and can only blame it on someone's jealousy. Why G Gundam isn't the future of UC baffles and personally hurts me everyday.

If anything X's creators were kind of cheeky with the UC references even though Sunrise's overall direction for the franchise was to make standalone AUs at the time.

People need to chill out when it comes to timelines and AU. The Japanese don't give a fuck and neither should you.
After War X can take place in 300 000 BC and everybody would be none the wiser (after all history repeats itself in cycles, isn't that the lesson of Turn A ?) lol.

The Japanese are less concerned with it on the whole, but plenty of them still care and the idea they don't care at all needs to go away.

Tomino actually seems to give Gundam X more respect than most. At least he seems to agree with it's general message on Newtypes, judging from the lack of them in Turn A and G Reco.

Because it was never a UC show but there's a lot of aspects in it that make me wonder if it was originally planned as one and for whatever reason they backed out at the last moment.
