What's the best Gundam so I can watch it
>>15646119
It's called Votoms, and you can watch it on kissanimeā¢
SEED and SEED Destiny.
MSG 0079, MSG 0080: War in the Pocket, or MSZG are probably the best.
>>15646124
This.
>>15646124
Only for the generation that adores Eva.
>>15646164
>Stardust over Turn A
>>15646119
In all honesty, the Origin OVA has the best animation, best story, and sets up UC very well,
>>15646614
I didn't mention either of those because I haven't had a chance to watch them yet/
>>15646119
Depends on what you're loooking for.
Military jerking off. (08th MS Team)
Genki, care-free atmosphere. (Turn A, G-Reco)
WAR IS REALLY BAD, KIDS messages. (Most of them, particularly Thunderbolt or War in the Pocket)
Long-spanning sci-fi story line. (UC timeline from start to finish)
Goofy but fun action. (G Gundam)
Et cetera.
>>15646688
>Genki, care-free atmosphere.
Wouldn't ZZ fall into that category as well?
>>15646607
How are those series remotely related?
You decide.
>inb4 troll chart
>>15646119
0079, Zeta, G, 00, BF and Turn A
>>15646607
You are right.
>>15646119
Gundam Thunderbolt
>>15646864
I don't know if I'd call Thunderbolt the best Gundam show, but it definitely sits firmly in my top 5. All the greatness of a high-quality OVA series with significantly less mind-numbingly awful writing. Plus dat jazz.
>>15646873
Agreed, top 5 easy. So much to like about the anime and manga. I bought Master Grade Thunderbolt Gunpla too, it's design is really cool.
Turn A is the best TV series but it's the ending for the other timelines.
>>15646898
>but it's the ending for the other timelines
And yet Greco somehow took place even further in the future. Fuck all this timeline nonsense tbqh
>>15646119
Zeta
Its the only Gundam series that rises above anime to be considered art
>>15646921
>Zeta rises above anime so much that its sequel wasn't even anime
>>15646926
ZZ is not that bad. It gets quite decent after the Moon episodes
>>15646119
MSG movie trilogy
>>15646940
I wasn't saying it was bad.
>>15646946
Origin manga > TV series > Movie Trilogy
>>15646802
That is the troll chart you yutz
>>15646805
>>15646898
Turn A was boring and a low point in the franchise.
which gundams are most similar to 00?
>>15647018
what's the real one?
>>15647161
Well, you can tell the troll chart apart because its full of copypaste phrases particularly shared between Unicorn and IBO; additionally, it has a bit added to already existing entries. The troll chart will refer to shows as being the high point or low point of the franchise whereas the original is mostly unbiased. Unfortunately the author of the troll chart wrote his own OC pro/cons for Thunderbolt whereas the real chart has no information except for the bit about the December Sky compilation. I believe the true chart is dated as of April 4 2017 but the troll chart author may have had the mind to change this in his chart.
>>15646119
0079 and Zeta are great if you are willing to get into UC. Gundam X if you want a quick stand alone gundam
>>15646955
End yourself.
>>15647147
seed wing g
00. It has really anything you can ask for in a modern /m/ show.
>>15646800
They drop colonies and seemingly let a young girl burn to death in ZZ, plus Puru mindfuckery...
It's carefree for only part of the plot.
>>15647408
>Gundam X if you want a quick stand alone gundam
You mean axed? I liked X but it jumps from random episodes in the 25's and suddendly goes for a rush in the last 5 ones. The rhythm is quite fucked up, not their fault but still.
If you want to watch one gundam, stand alone or not doesn't matter, so MSG is simply the most obvious of the lot (plus it opens up the rest of UC if you decide later on to keep watching). X opens up for nothing and is better watched after MSG and Zeta anyway.
