What is the best release available for the 0079 movie triology? I'm seeing that the Blu Ray collection found on the US Amazon store was rerecorded for SFX, OST, and some VO and was a Tomino-headed effort. It seems these are issued by Right Stuff and no other publications are easily available. Are people just complaining to complain, or are these releases fine?

[EG]
the new audio throws out the signature anime stock sounds for crap other stock sounds

We who were used to the 2.0 track (and likewise hate the 5.1) all seem to have common memories of the major feels it invoked. Now that may be easy to dismiss but I think the fact so many people on /m/ actually AGREE on this one thing really says something.

Always complaining, always fucking complaining. The old sound effects were shit, not realistic enough and sounded like what they are : late seventies drivel.
The new soundtrack was a godsend and it's a good part of the reason why the remastered edition was so freaking amazing.

Ah, I'll just burn [EG]'s release then since I don't have a Region 2 player.
