Agito got an Agito cameo and Another Agito for a mini-series, Ryuki had Ouja for the Brave special, Faiz returned thrice with his actor, including Kusaka's in Rider Taisen, Blade had Kenzaki's out of suit appearances in Decade and GoRiders, in addition to Tachibana in GP, alongside voice roles for the other 3... I guess Hibiki only has those two Decade episodes that had all the main Riders aside from Hibiki himself though. Heck, Kabuto's post-series appearances have been as bad as -Kiva's- if you look at the above list.

They were generally taken seriously in the original series. Sometimes they're kind of goofy due to their "iii!" stuff, like screaming when beaten up, but they generally still talked fairly often like shown there.

Their last appearance was running away for their lives as a monster kills them one by one due to being considered useless though.

The first show that outright made the grunts comic relief was some of Skyrider's later episodes. Although Neo-Shocker's grunts are different from the other ones design-wise, since their masks also cover their mouths and there are no white patterns on their outfits.

The specific word they use is "映像" (Eizo), which on the Japanese wiki article has a very peculiar line.
