ribbons didn't trust him with it. besides ali would have still be stomped if he had it cause he got nerfed hard in s2
>>
>>15638676
Is that a Fafner?
>>
felcher gundam REALLY had some SHIT mechs like this one....
>>
>>15638828
Woah Felcher-kun, that's not IBO.
>>
>>15638676
It means its limbs were in the standard cis-arm configuration.
>>
>>15638735
Does Ribbons actually ever say that, or do we just say that?
And what's the point? It's not like Ribbons doesn't have the power to shut it off the moment he's displeased? Why would he hire Ali to go fight for him and not give him the best upgrade possible? Especially if he's giving Trans-Am to fucking suicide mobile suits.

You're right about the nerfing thing though.
>>
>>15638676
Don't know why it didn't have it, but he hardly needed it. Ali was just that good, that devious.
>>
>>15640810
Did Ali-ever use trans am?
that shit would've made him OP
>>
>>15641412
Much like Neil (special edition be damned), Ali never really needed trans-am.
>>
>>15641651
It would have been useful in some spots though

Namely against the 00
>>
Wasn't TRANS-AM only available to the GN drives that had the TD blanket ?
>>
>>15641768
Nope, Tau drives achieved trans-am during s2. Billy developed it for Graham and then Anew stole the necessary technical details from CB near the end of the season. TD blankets kept the drives from burning out during trans-am.
>>

>15638676

By the end of the series, and especially the movie, it's not even clear what makes the original drives any better than the Tau drives in combat.

The GNX was a cool concept but then 00 really shit the bed.
>>
>>15641897
Tau drives have lower output and and are not perpetual and use electricity to do what they do and must be charged when they run out. This fact didnt change. In S2 Trans-am burns out the drive completely and damaging it and then the MS must run on it's storage tanks. We dont know if that was fixed in the movie because everyone that used trans-am with a tau drive then proceeded to suicide bomb which maybe shows that it wasnt fixed because instead of using it then running out and be a sitting duck they decided to use it as a final stand. But it's not really confirmed
If you are at a stand off and it becomes a matter of who will give in first then it's clear that the true drives will win. If it's about the output then the tau drives from the movie did reach an output of the S1 drives but who's to say that true drives cant be upgraded either.
>>
>>15641785
No, what Anew stole were data files for the twin drive system. Billy was working for Ribbons right up until just about the end and would have been the one to provide trans-am data to the Innovades.

>TD blankets kept the drives from burning out during trans-am.
No, that's not right. No one even knows what a topological defect blanket is, just that it's some crucial component that can only be manufactured near Jupiter and that it has something to do with the near infinite amount of energy that a true GN drive can produce.

Tau drives in S2 matched the performance of original drives in S1. S2 original drives were better than S1s.

Yeah but this doesn't affect anything we see onscreen in the anime, except for the twin-drive system of the 00 and Quant.

Graham just tears through squads of aliens in his Tau suit just as easily as the other Gundams.
>>
>>15638828
Dude, you don't recognize the Arche Gundam? Its from 00, not IBO.
>>
>>15638815
Holy shit, I never realized how much like a Fafner it looks. It just needs the twisty geometric waist to make it complete.
