I believe Tomino said in some interviews that he wants to make it a lot easier to understand. I'd wager that a lot of people who hated G-Reco will end up liking it, if Tomino does a good job with making things less obtuse, and a good portion of the existing G-Reco fanbase on /m/ will be elitists and call everybody who likes the movies retarded, resulting in G-Reco just becoming hated again.

He's going to condense a already condensed tv series into a short movie. What could possibly go wrong?
