Chronicle just feels too shoved off to the side in general. Given that RidePlayer Nico is enough to fight against Level 30+ Bugsters, even if with the help of a Level 50 Rider, it'd be interesting to see what would happen if a whole group of RidePlayers worked together, used power ups, and still went after Riders as World Bosses. If eight Level 5 Braves can take down a Level 30 Gatton, then surely six Level 10+ RidePlayers can still fuck some stuff up.

I get that there was a whole episode based around RidePlayers finding out they're too shit to even beat Salty and leave the job to the CR Riders, but we still see some goombas trying to save their families and be heroes anyway. It'd be great to see someone else doing well other than "Tensai Gamer N," and I'd imagine this Sunday's episode would have been a great place to kill them all off.

The only thing that's a bit off is that they get to separate the humans from the roidmudes they fuse with since showing humans die is frowned upon in this kids show. I imagine if otherwise we'd have seen the fused humans dying pretty regularly.

They aren't plot focused, but none are as episodic as the original.

V3 is episodic during most of its run (although with two parters), but it gets more story centered in the last 10 or so episodes when Riderman is introduced. It also lacks the original series' style and cast changes, and the first enemy commander stays around for way too long.

X has some subplots running at times, although in the later half of the show it's a "collect X plot devices" thing. At points it's completely episodic too.

Amazon has more focus on character development and also has a villain faction switch in spite of only having about 26 episodes.

Stronger starts very episodic, but slowly becomes more plot centered after General Shadow's introduction, with focus on villain in-fighting. Heck, it doesn't even have standard monster of the week in the second half - every enemy is treated as a commander type with their own troops and are faced multiple times before being killed. Saying "plot" centered is a misnomer though, since those later episodes are like 80% fighting.

Skyrider is fairly episodic too, although like the original series there's various changes of style and cast, including past Riders being added as recurring characters after a certain point.

Super-1 is very episodic too. The first half has a couple of plot moving multipart stories, but the the 2nd half becomes completely episodic outside of the final 3 or so episodes.

Black has a central plot that's consistent from beginning to the ending, but it can be sidelined for months at times by monster of the week episodes completely unrelated to it, and, outside of the main plot, it doesn't even have 2 parters and the monster of the week formula is limited and can get fairly repetitive.

Black RX has a weaker main plot (in fact, the 2nd half of the show basically hopes the viewer forgets some plot points from the 1st half), but overall has more even pacing than Black, with multi-part stories spread throughout the show.
