I'm more triggered by Flauros being anything more than a pile of shredded metal. It makes sense for the Bouduin family gundam to stay in the family. I don't think Almiria and Mac ever officially got married; she was just promised to him.
Also, I doubt Bael would be any more accessible now than it was before Mac broke it out of its resort.

a retelling of the IBO we already got BUT:

Mcgillis maintains his cunning throughout the whole series instead of just betting everything on Bael

Better mecha animation quality (Thunderbolt, Unicorn quality)

More mecha battles with Gusion and Flauros.

Amida and (probobly) Naze survive with Amidas mech getting rekt so she ends up getting a Gundam to demonstrate her ace piloting skills.

Atra dies and Lafter lives to have Akihiros child instead (not that i dont like Atra, but if one or the other had to die i'd choose her so Akihiro has some happiness)

Tekkadan wins and Rustal, Julietta and Iok die satisfyingly (originally i didn't mind Rustal won, but had issues of him being "good" all along, but then i realized it didnt make sense at all for both his character gallahorns future unless he maintained a Russian styled democracy to keep his evil doings secret which contradicts the freedom he's narrated to bring)

More Gallahorn characters who use Gundams to have Tekkedan Gundams vs Gallahorn Gundams instead of Bael vs Kimaris (good, but not enough Tekkadan beating down mechs of equal quality)

Instead of the last 12 episodes we got, the war between Mcgillis and Rustal reveal more aspects of the Calamity war and Agnika Kairu, more Mobile Armors, and have some decent flashbacks of the calamity war, including why it happened at all.

Either: Rustal dies and Mcgillis goes on a power trip, making him an enemy of Tekkadan when they refuse to submit

Or Rustal is beaten back and retreats to mars, takes over any Mobile Armors Mcgillis and Mars had searched for to destroy, using copies of the EIN system to control them

I bet it'd have a name something along the lines of "Barbatos Fenrir", or something. Both to continue the wolf sub-theme Barbatos had ever since Season 2 started, and also, more Norse mythology nods. Ride and his crew are clearly out for blood, so it'd make sense that they'd go MAXIMUM EDGE and name a Barbatos upgrade after the beast said to herald the coming of Ragnarok.

What I'd want is an OVA set in the time after the epilogue dealing with unresolved political tensions in the Earth Sphere bubbling up into an actual revolution. Probably the only way to salvage the Post-Disaster timeline is to timeskip so far into the future that the events of IBO don't really matter too much. Both factions locked in a Cold War-esque rivalry, with the space weaboo mafia obviously outmatched by the Earthsphere giants but Gjallarhorn isn't willing to extend their reach all the way to Jupiter. Both sides are researching Calamity War era tech, Mars and the territories caught in-between used as proxy conflicts, and eventually a full war breaks out after Teiwaz recovers the methods to produce Ahab Reactors.

LESS TALKING AND MORE HARDCORE MECHA COMBAT. I want each episode to be like 20 minutes of hot greasy mecha battle royale with 5 minutes of intro song/brief exposition wtf is going on and closing song mashed together.

I hated IBO because they would devote entire EPISODES TO TALKING ABOUT TANGENTIAL STUFF or character development for the red shirt guy about to die the next episode over.

Why did it go so wrong?
Why have us root for characters who got effortlessly put down?
Why have Orga die one episode before the finale?
Why portray McGillis as someone willing to use others just to largely abandon that in S2?
Why didn't McGillis have a backup plan outside of 'muh Bael'?

The point of Julietta was to humanize Rustal. Rustal look in a orphaned girl and gave her a place in Gjallarhorn. Her interaction with mika were limited because they only meet on the battlefield and mika isn't a talker when fighting.

McGillis didn't include Carta and Gaelio in his plans because McGillis was still mad that his step daddy poked his butt. Also carta had a obsession with blond manlets just like daddy fareed. I bet he wanted to kill her so bad. Probably felt like she was mocking him.
