I love Kazanari Tsubasa.

Tsubasa is very cool. Ever since she was little, she was trained to fight on the battlefield. She fights using swords, rides and destroys motorcycles, saves lots of people, and has one hell of an amazing singing voice. She's not only a special soldier, she's also a renowned singer. These qualities makes Tsubasa look like a special girl, but in reality, she's still just a normal girl deep inside.
She also has negative qualities. There's a lot of stuff that she still doesn't know, about her world, and possibly even about her own self.
She cries, she gets hurt, she struggles, she feels sad, she feels lonely, she feels depressed, but she also smiles and laughs, albeit rarely.
She has been through a lot, but she still tries to keep composed at all times.
I want to stay by Tsubasa's side to protect her, support her, make her smile, and give her the love and care that she deserves.

I love you, Tsubasa.

I have no issue at all with the Ignite designs, in fact I like them.

The problem is in both the execution and the continuously proven issue of having a straight upgrade mode for the protagonists that pretty much no series has ever done right since it becomes used all of the time because why wouldn't they?

They sort of had something in that there was a major drawback, but when you make said drawback in such a way that you have to overcome the problem to activate it in the first place and all the villains are trying to flat out help the heroes achieve it, any interesting merits are lost.

The whole idea behind the alchemists is that they were a field of research that had always intersected with relic technology and Custodian science. Just like Carol was able to modify and upgrade Noise to better combat Gears. and just like Elfnein was able to develop an upgrade to Gears, the new alchemists will presumably also have an understanding of Custodian science sufficient to modify and possibly even improve upon relic tech.

The whole point of alchemy is being the sciencey group that understands this stuff, so of course they'd be recurring. There's only so many times you can repeat 'bad dude gets their hand on ancient toy and uses it.'

Ignite going forward should be used more as a way to adapt to battle conditions changing. Maybe there's types of encounters normal gears are suited for better than the Ignite mode and vice versa. Maybe even adapt the normal gears so they are two sides of the same coin, the implication being X-drive + Ignite = some sort of alteration to the gear systems to integrate Ignite into it.
