There was also some other comercial last year or so, I don't remember much.
It had Gaiking in it but just appeared first as a toy in someone's desk and later in the background between some buildings. He wasn't the focus, there was some weird shit but didn't seem out of the norm. It may have been for some shoes or credit card or some other banking service.

There was a huge weeb behind Duro de Domar around that time. The host would be with a super saiyan wig a lot of the time and they straight out used songs with japanese lyrics during the show as background.

Strangely that was the time when all out tv was divorcing itself from animu. CN switched it all to 11pm to 4am, Netflix dropped almost everything and left Shaman King at 5:30am, Zoids disappeared from Nick before finishing the season and Locomotion was cut from most providers.
