It's not really /m/, tactical CUBE LASERS are neat though. It does a few things interestingly, like having a protagonist who's genuinely underpowered and constantly forced to scrape by with just his brain. I wish we could get an /m/ show like that but Aldnoah really shit on the concept for most people.

Generally I'd consider it being shounen anime X-COM to be pretty /m/ already, but it certainly could use more vehicles and such in combat to complement all the magic overtech and make it really /m/.

Don't bother with the anime, asides from Kenji Kawai OST it's just poorly made. It's fine if you watch it after reading the manga and you don't mind bad animation(especially the first 20 episodes, it gets better after that) but otherwise it's just Toei

Its the only show I remember where tactics and teamwork actually are as effective as they say.

Usually shonen shows talk about teamwork and companions but in the end is just 1v1 or 1opv2000. In this manga they actually fight in team and defeat people in team. Its the only shonen jump work when you will see often a tertiary character dealing the killing blow to a bad guy.
