Gonna be honest, out of all the 'upgrades', visually Max Revolver is probably the worst. Especially since its still trying to go with a boxer fighting style with a cowboy theme.

The cylinder shoulders don't even go over the arms as makeshift boxing gloves.

Do the six shooter shoulders power up his punches by shooting somehow? If not, then ever more disappoint. Mostly I just don't like the stomach or thighs of the unit, especially from the back, because they give it a very skeletal vibe. The Double Dragon and Bolt Crash are probably the best upgrades, though the crests on the Double Dragon are a bit over done.

I really like the Gundam Versaille too, but as much as I like it, like the Gundam Rose just a bit more as is because of the asymmetrical half cape. The chest ruff and loose cuffs on the Versaille look great though.

Supposedly they're to increase the 'impact' of the Maxter Max Revolver's punches by spinning the rounds inside the chambers. How that works I have no idea.Honestly, for the Close-combat mode, they should have had the revolver chambers go onto the wrists like the shoulder pads from the previous version of the Maxter instead of just folding on the back like it does.

Also maybe get a giant gundam poncho like Clint Eastwood's "Man with No Name". I mean, its not like any of the G Gundam mobile suits don't go out of their way to be outlandish in design anyway.

Presumably because a unit with a gun focus didn't suit the style of show Imagawa wanted. Chapman was fine because he was a one off character who could give the setting some depth by adding variety and history, but Chibodee was a recurring character who'd fight a dozen times so he was more important to fit in with the aesthetic and direction the staff were going for more than likely.

How long before G gets gud? I normally have a period of "this is a chore" whenever starting a new Gundam series, but I'm only a few episodes into this and I feel like I may just not like it. It feels very monster-of-the-week.
