I recall Dead Fish Fansubs doing episodes 1 and 24, but the quality was kinda awful IIRC. Windows Movie Maker subs and missing lines everywhere.

I can answer only for Brazil, but is mainly because of nostalgia, the same with Saint Seiya. Back in late 80's and early 90's, Brazilian tv stations started bringing lots of toku shows to broadcast, it was a real boom. Add to that that we have a considerable jap community here, too, which helped in bringing in the stuff and popularizing it.

I got to episode 17 today. It's probably one of the best Tokusatsu show's I've seen. My only legit complaint is the reuse of suits gets a little tiring, but the characters, plots, and the way that the show presents the Neros Empire as this massive global-spanning group that have slowly poisoned society is fantastic.

Man, it's rare to see a Toku take a nosedive in quality that hard. I also noticed that in the good episodes, each Riser had a specific fighting style. The first arc is them learning how to use these styles together against enemies. When the show goes crap, suddenly they fight generically like any other team.

Been watching Kamen Teacher recently. I like it, it's a neat mix between soap opera and Tokusatsu. There's even a bunch of Toku actors in it.
