>first episode is nothing but a comedy/SoL skit with a robot gimmick and approximately 30 seconds of subpar fighting/action
I mean, i guess it's alright if all you wanted was cute girls in leotards being retarded but that's much lower than my expectations.
Please tell me the rest of the OVA is worth watching.

2 more episodes before it really becomes good.

>comedy/SoL skit
Did you miss the part about Noriko being insecure over her incompetence and having to work overtime to show that she actually was worth her recommendation?
You shouldn't, because shit like that is the real story of Gunbuster and every episode will expand on it.

Post your top 3 favorite anime and we will tell you.
>>15586697
Stick to IBO since Gunbuster seems to be too complex for you

Go fuck yourselves, felcherfags
This is from over 2 months ago i think

Good taste but unironically
>>15586747
shittiest chart I have seen in awhile
Episode 5 was the only good episode of Gunbuster.
Episode 5 was also good enough to make the whole show worth it.
>>15586841
Well let's see your taste then, senpai
>>15586697
It isn't worth watching at all. Even though it's not /m/, you should watch Ace wo Nerae instead.
>>15586747
This is legitimately one of the most mediocre charts I've ever seen.
>>15586997
Big talk for someone not posting their chart.

Thanks for admitting you don't even know how to watch anime correctly, something that barely even requires a brain.

Literally what are you trying to say here?
>>15587326
It's already been said above.

Maybe you should have quoted that anon in your original reply if you wanted people to know what you were talking about. On top with >>15586721 , that part seemed incredibly trite and generic; I get that its an '80s style training montage but the episode came out in '88 so even at the time it came off as hackneyed.
>>15587348
Watch enough mecha and you start to see the same shit over and over and over again. To be a fan of it nearly requires that you look past originality in favor of execution. Which is not to say that there aren't any unique and creative mecha works, but Gunbuster was clearly never trying to be that in premise, so it's stupid to judge it that way.
That said, the concept of someone being looked down on for having only received something due to nepotism is something that I've rarely ever seen in anime. Sure the montage itself is 80s schlock, but the context surrounding it is the part that's actually plot relevant.

It's okay, except Unicorn. I really dislike Banagher.
>>15587491
I don't like him either but Full Frontal kept me going throughout
