I love these threads
Esperanza - a short science-fiction independent animation by Hiroshi Hashimoto. Me and my friend have managed to interview him about it for a bit, and learned that it was strongly influenced by Daicon, Macross, Star Wars, Laputa, Urusei Yatsura and YAS works. Also, Hashimoto said that the world of Esperanza was created to match the ending song of Macross DYRL - "Tenshi no Enogu".

I'm pretty sure that most of you guys know this one already, but it's always worth posting - "There Will Come Soft Rains" directed by Nazim Tulyakhodzayev. Based on the short story by Ray Bradbury.

Mobile Rescue Nivendine - A firefighting robot, that gets a boner from reading a pornomag, saves the day.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyGEpUuNiFE
Zazel - "Inspired by the circus play "human cannonball," the film displays a dazzling world beyond imagination in which the protagonist Zazel dreams of entering the cannonball race. Through a series of unexpected fortune and misfortune, Zazel finds herself exactly in that spot!"

Super Lolicon Fortress Range. A short, hilarious parody of Macross. I tried googling a bit and it seems to be made by people from Tokai University or something?

Cosmic Chase - Rami-chan's close call. I think it was the first anime created by the independent studio Rami

Azicon opening animation. Made by the same studio, who worked on Rami-chan's Close Call
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3t39_b1qmKg
Also, it's worth noting, that both Rami and Azicon Opening animation feature character designs made by famous Hideo Azuma. In Azicon, he even appears at the end, to save the day.
Uracon III Opening Animation

A comedic short from 1983. Apparently it was made for a school festival.
It's worth mentioning, that the author of this short is now a professional animator. Sadly, due to the poor quality of the video I can't decipher his name
I also have this short mecha music video, but sadly I don't know much about it

Did you know, that Dirty Pair TV series from 1985 wasn't the first animated adaptation of the original novels? In 1981 a group of students created their own, independent animation based on the the first book - "Dirty Pair no Daibouken"

Apparently, this video is a sequel to the one from 1981.
