post things you wish were subbed

I would also accept Daikessen translation, finished translation of Toei Getter, or Mazinger Zero to be fully translated.

Fucking
Brave
Saga
After that, God Sigma, Govarian and the rest of the J9s
>>15576159
I wish someone would pick up FSS from where the official TL left off. Actually, hell, going back and doing some touch up on the official TL would be pretty great too.
Toei Getter
Daimos
Machine Robo
Dendoh

>daikessen
fucking THIS
>>15576159
The less subbed of this the better.
It's 25 episodes, for Pete's sake. If even Dr. Slump can get subs, so can this. That aside, it'd be cool to see Daiohja, Trider G7 and Hepoi tackled as well.
harlock ssx endles orbit
all i have seen is that sweet as fuck intro
Couldn't find a thread and speaking of subbed..
Where the fuck do i get subbed gundam series now?
I wanna watch 0080, 0083, Zeta and others and Nyaa died and the "substitute" sites are trash and have barely any seed/leechers so it downloads incredibly slow or just straight up never connects.
Albegus and Daimos are near the top of things I wish were subbed.
Deep Blue Fleet.

I thought Albegas didn't have DVDs. I'd never been able to find RAWs. I think it's the only 80s Super Robot show I haven't seen at least some of.
>>15578670
Albegas got a DVD and BD release a year or so back.
mega:#F!gxlhCBQB!3DyBek_ukpTug9tByzfuzw
>>15578670
There was a new set of raws from the DVDs that went up last year https://nyaa.si/view/844159
>>15578366
vnsharing, the ftp server, irc. There's no lack of options. Go look at the Nyaa recovery threads.
>>15578676
>>15578679
Thanks! I can finally find out how Albegas is.
>>15578132
Discotek licensed it early this year, so we probably gonna get a DVD still in 2017.
>>15578609
You can simply watch it without any subs, just for the combat scenes, and you would not be losing anything of worth.
>>15577851
Besides, didn't J-Decker recycle some of the ep plots anyway?
>>15576159
>>15578745
I'm more interested in watching the action. The mechs look really neat. I'd prefer to watch it with the English context than raw, however.
>>15578837
agreed
>>15578132
Was fully subbed by L-E in 2013.
>>15579261
In any case, Luurah did sub the first ep a long time ago in a collab with DOMO. Don't think he'll do the rest since the latter group is dead though. The only chance left is if somebody decides to have Starseeker suffer through it.
>>15579934
Starseeker is dying for our sins
>>15579934
Well, there's the possibility of using the German dub as base but
a) that one seemed to take some liberties in terms of translation
b) hell freezes over before I watch this shit again to translate it
>>15578745
There's the wholeartificial human and cyborg stuffbut seriously, if you watched J-Decker and Sonic Soldier Borgman you've essentially seen everything Metal Jack has to offer.
>baldios
even the BD rips can't be found online
>tobikage
>goshogun
>>15580279
Speaking of Borgman, how are the HKs? Last I recall, it's the only subs that got.
>>15580288
>baldios
The blame lies entirely on BlueFixer Subs for that one since they never finished it.
>goshogun
Discotek licensed it, actually.
>>15579934
I'll suffer through a bad OVA or a bad set of episodes but not a bad TV series. Especially if there's no captions. Hell even with captions I'd need a serious reason/bribe to do so.
>>15580765
Glad we got that out of the way then.
Back on topic, are there any shows in particular you wish were subbed (even if without being involved yourself)?
>>15576159
Daimos and Shin Mazinger Zero
>>15580737
>Speaking of Borgman, how are the HKs?
Actually not that bad.
Some awkward word choices here and there but nothing completely unintelligible.
>>15580971
Sounds good then, hopefully somebody at the Nyaa recovery thread grabs those.
>>15581033
It's on BakaBT so moderately easy to get hold off and highly unlikely to die soon.
>>15576159
Platinumhugen Ordian
Guyver translations that I don't have to pay money to some shady guy to read
God Mazinger
>>15579659
oh , sweet!
i´ve been looking for any page with seeders , know any ddl site or something from where to get it?
>>15582488
nevermind i found a website
>>15576159
JACK ON?
PLAWRES SANSHIRO
Tfw Liger subs never
>>15576159
I wish we could get more subs for more pre-Mazinger Z stuff. Been wanting to watch Babel II lately. There was a thread in April about a bunch of 60s mecha manga that no one even remembers anymore like Big Machine and Iron Sampson. I'd pay to see that kinda stuff translated but I doubt raws even exist
>>15585238
...has subs already
>>15585529
Agreed. It seems that the older you go, the less there is in the way of subs.
>>15576159
Macross 3-6
>>15586254
Major problem is lack of raws as well, not to mention if raws exist then the quality is poor, especially for the audio which makes it so much harder.
>>15586264
It kind of reminds me of some of the old lost films of the 20s and 30s in America. Hopefully that never happens to us, but you never know. time is a demon
I can't find subs for this. do they exist?
>>15586316
The show is so hard to sub that only Skaro Hunting Society decided to take on it. Even then, they did about one ep so far.
>>15586372
oh I see. out of curiosity what makes it so hard to sub?
>>15576992
Me too. I would, in fact, contribute money for that.
Know what I dislike though? When the subs aren't actually subs of what they are saying in Japanese, it's simply the English dub's subs.
>>15586264
If you're still around, do you have any updates to share on Burning Epilogue?
>>15586718
The original release page is gone, but the problems are summarized here:
https://skarohuntingsociety.wordpress.com/downloads/
>As I’ve mentioned many times before, this show is crazy hard to subtitle. It’s episodes are twice as long and jam packed with rapid-fire back and forth dialogue. But we’re still plugging away at episode two as fast as we can. Apologies to all you Patlabor fans out there for taking so long. I was kind of worried about starting this project in the first place because I had a feeling there would be a lot of months between releases. But for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend, no other subtitlers showed any interest in it, so we soldier onward.
>>15586832
Episode 3's had first pass translation so there's something in every line though not every line is accurate and signs/songs are missing. Episode 4's at 250/300 lines done on first pass translation. Likely going to need at least 2 more passes on my end before the editor gets let loose on them.
>>15586891
Sounds like it should only take another month or two, then. Thanks, as always
>>15586915
Best case. Might rig up a Raideen episode in the middle to clear my head.
>>15586856
cool thanks for the info. it is a mystery why no one else wants to sub this
>>15576159
So I just learned about this show, Gordian Warrior, and as you can probably guess from the image, it's likely the first show to feature giant robots piloting bigger giant robots
I really want to watch it now just because of that, I imagine the fight scenes are pretty interesting with that as a main feature because it necessitates an increase in scale during battle
>>15580737
>Speaking of Borgman, how are the HKs? Last I recall, it's the only subs that got.
I swear it got subs on /m/ like three months before Nyaa went nuclear.
>>15587737
>Tosho Gordion
It also has one of the least impressive OPs in /m/ history. Not THE least, things like God Mazinger and Betterman will always exist, but on the other hand...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ik6YxHOR7mg
...THRILLING ROBOT ACTION.
>>15588193
>robot just leisurely strolls in and softly punts the crab tank thing
It has kind of a goofy charm of its own
Meanwhile, I just got done watching Geneshaft and its opening where its extremely odd looking robot does nothing but fire a laser at nothing

>>15588193
>It also has one of the least impressive OPs in /m/ history. Not THE least, things like God Mazinger and Betterman will always exist, but on the other hand...
on the other hand God Mazinger & Betterman have much better OP songs(which is just as important as having good animation when it comes to an anime OP)
also the exact same mecha design gets used later in Machine Robo in a much more satisfying manner
>>15587737
>Yo dawg. We heard you like giant robots..
>>15588193
>Betterman
At least SyFy's former anime block (during the Sci-Fi days) had the right idea when they switched the OP and ED's positions.
