ITT: Mobile Suit designs that grew on you over time. For me it was Kimaris Trooper. I didn't like it at all when I first saw it but now I really like the design.
>>15574648
This.
>>15574645
I really did not like the Atlas at first, but seeing it in action in the manga and anime made it seem cool.
>>15574645
Gotta be the larger than average fowl series for me
Zeon designs in general. For a long time I didn't appreciate them, they looked so weird and monstrous compared to the Fed suits.
Nowadays I love them.
>>15574648
Is it a full moon today? wtf is going on on this board? I swear this board is more insane than usual today.
>>15574648
I'm in the mood for a McGangbang now.
To answer the OP (though I'm too lazy to get a good picture since I'm about to sleep) definitely the Baund Doc. It had a ton of time to grow on me since some of my first exposure to Gundam was Gundam vs Zeta Gundam.
>>15574752
>grew to like the vertically resplendent gander instead of falling wildly in love at first sight
Hmmmmmmmm
OK
Twas the Barzam for me. I fool I am for not realizing it's beauty sooner.
>>15574812
I was young and tasteless alright
>>15574645
Yeah I feel the same about the trooper.
>>15574645
Same. Kimaris genuinely grows on you.
Arche Gundam is my particular love that developed over time, especially once you see it in motion.
>>15574648
this copypasta probably does a better job advertising anons to get Mcdonalds than the actual multi-million dollar ad campaigns they run
At first I didn't like the G-Self and it's cat-like face (I saw it as a cat anyway). Then, like things G-Reco, it grew on me and I love it.
Now if only it could get a better kit.
>>15574645
I always preferred WZC over this and thought it was pretty ugly when I was younger. But now I like it enough that I'm planning on buying a kit
>>15574903
In all honesty I went to a mcd's a few weeks ago because I was hurting for time and the wizard needed food badly, got a triple cheeseburger because the patties are on the small side, and I was honestly surprised at the quality of the beef they put in it. Even toasted the damn bun. Did not taste anything like I remember their shit tasting. At ~$2.50 that was definitely more than I bargained for.
>>15575199
They've apparently moved from buying cheap dirt land in South America to raise cattle to buying land that has decent rainfall and grass to feed their cattle. Someone realized you could get the same cost and better taste by moving the farms out of areas no one farmed in. Imagine that.
>>15574756
>>15575134
I really don't like the shoulders, side skirts, or wings. Other than that I think it's a fine successor to the original Wing.
>>15575134
I also used to love the WZC, but I think SRW using EW and WZC so often turned me off the design. I've come to appreciate the simplicity and design of the base Zero.
>>15574895
You and me, brother. I used to loath this design, but now I love it. I even bought the exclusive Jagd Arche.
hasegawa designs in general. At first I thought most were stupid looking but after reading the crossbone manga seeing them in action I really started to like them and their uniqueness
>Crotch rockets
>Laser disco capoeria
>Leg wings
This thing is silly as fuck but I love it so much.
>>15574748
Yeah seeing this guy in motion really put him on my list of good designs
I like a lot of the SEED designs, though it's not really like they grew on me. Usually someone does a better iteration, like the MG kits, that makes the design way better. The MS are typically improved by removing the Okawara-ness of it.
>>15576520
id definitely fuck it silly
>>15574645
the o and the ufo donut guy that i forget the name of Titans in general have my fave suits.
>>15574895
he better be DLC in versus
>>15576710
I always thought the Ashimar was a regular sized MS until I watched Zeta. Holy shit that thing is big.
>>15577011
It's not that big.
>>15577015
The Asshimar is nearly twice the size of a regular Zeta era MS.
>>15577048
proof
>>15577015
>23 meters tall
>not that big
>>15577015
You're saying it's not that big by comparing it to another MS directly based on it?
Definitely Turn-X. When I first watched Turn A years ago, I found it to be really weird and I just didn't know how to feel about it since it was so different, like a lot of designs in the show. As time went on, though, I kept going back and eventually I came to appreciate all of its strange qualities and otherworldly feel and now it's currently my favorite mobile suit in Gundam as a whole.
Versions drawn by different artists allowed? Because Kondo's stuff really grew on me.
>that smart gun beam rifle
>the skirts
>the broken down grunge look to everything
>>15576544
I didn't like the Impulse much in-show, always thought it was a ZAFT rip-off of the Strike Gundam. Then the MG comes out and it looks great. I really want one, but I'm saving up for the P-Bandai Advanced GN-X coming out in July.
>>15578992
I just realized why it has 6 eyes. Two for Marie/Soma, two for Allelujah, and two for Hallelujah.
>>15574812
to be fair, neither II nor III quite recaptured the Shaquille-ian Swan's elegance'
>>15579328
Why does Marie/Soma get marked as one person while Allelujah/Hallelujah get marked as two?
>>15579532
because of the number of personalities.
>>15579536
But Marie and Soma were also separate personalities
>>15579539
Marie wasn't a combat personality, when in battle it's only Soma that is present. Also, the Marute system is clearly specified as accommodating "three pilots" so when they're in the cockpit, it's only three personalities.
>>15579532
Allelujah and Hallelujah can both fight. Soma can as well. Marie, however, isn't a pilot. So while Allelujah/Hallelujah can switch off during battle and be fine, Soma has to stay in Soma mode to be able to keep up.
