I really like the Impulse and Destiny.

Shinn is a better character in SRW and I like his dynamics with Kamille and a few other characters even, as well.

Impulse is a very nice Gundam and watching Shinn fight in the first half was incredibly fun. It was nice to see a hothead protagonist again.

Although I will say the first half isn't as amazing as people make it out to be. It's still flawed. The focus on Shinn is still very iffy even in the first half, it's just no where near as bad as the second half.

Even if the Destiny is technically retarded and super derivative it's still a cool-looking design.
Impulse, like the original Strike (sans backpack), is another great design.

The setting was one of the most developed ones in the entire gundam franchise second only to the UC, hell most anime don't have settings as well developed as CE.

Saviour, Windams and Murasames are cool. GOUFs were alright too.

The early episodes that were just "The Minerva crew is assigned to do X" weren't horrible. I liked the trench run ep a lot.

Speaking of which the Minerva is an alright looking ship even if it's dumb as fuck to build the ship completely around the launch mechanism for the Impulse

Meer is a complete Semen Demon. That Inazuma doujin makes me bust a nut every time. The other girls are alright too I guess.

I loved SEED Destiny, but I just never cared for Shinn or any of the new characters. I suppose I just have too much love for the old cast, and preferred the episodes when they were the focus (and then when the show was more about them than the new cast).

No one is forcing me to watch it.

It's a pretty good anime and deserves the general popularity it has. However, I love that it's unpopular here because that leads to some hilarious shit.

I don't enjoy the characters, general design aesthetic, or plot bias, but it is part of the same universe that gave us Evidence 01 and Stargazer Gundam.
