OG Man is the start of the franchise
Seven is the pinnacle of the showa era
Tiga is the start of the Heisei revivial
Nexus is great but better reserved for when you know the formula
Max is basically a Showa Ultraman with modern technology
Ginga is the start of the toy era, but you are better off watching Ginga S

Personally I recommend OG Man, Tiga, or X as your introductory stuff, then move to whichever one you think looks sweet.

original Ultraman, Seven Jack, Taro, and Leo had some very violent moments including maiming, decapitation, and in Taro's first episode being eaten by vagina dentata. That's not even getting into the movie with Hanuman with was even more graphic than Doragory peeling Muruchi like a banana.

80's sound mixing is the best of the Showa era. Where the previous shows had issues with mixing sound and music correctly, 80 does an excellent job of making all the actions sound like they have weight, and the music cued perfectly with the scenes to properly convey tension.

The organization in the series is called A.I.B., it's a play on M.I.B.

Zero's bracelet is broken in a battle and so he'll lose his ability to transform into his other forms for a while.

Info says he uses the Geed Riser and that imbues him with the DNA of Belial. So I don't think he's his literal son, just someone who shares his DNA.
