The Titans gave us good MS designs (especially the AoZ ones) but god damn they have some hideous color schemes. Navy Blue and Piss Yellow looks like an absolute mess.

Technically, they did for a notably short time until Axis betrayed them, at which point AEUG allied with Haman.

Not much came of their alliance, but the fact that they were trying to establish a working relationship with Zabi-loyalist Zeon army remnants was a clear indication that the Titans weren't only shit at their job, but actively endeavored to do the literal exact opposite in the interest of acquiring power. Even New Desides, who were like Titans, but actually competent and with a clearer, refined ideology more aligned with the Titans original purpose (instead of a purely opportunistic grab for power by assholes) ended up allying with Axis Zeon forces when shit hit the fan.

The Titans were shit. That is an indisputable FACT. Get over it. Even Zeon themselves are less disreputable and cowardly.

And why wouldn't they when the Federation itself wants them dead? They'd have been stupid not to try to find some way out of getting gangbanged by the EFF, AEUG, and Axis. It's the AEUG who had no reason to seek an alliance with Axis.

If the Titans won, the rest of the Universal Century would have gone differently. They're the best faction by virtue of the others being suicide. The AEUG couldn't reform the Federation and Axis is Axis. At least with the Titans, there was a chance at something else - whether it be Jamitov's emigration into space, Scirocco's new government, or anybody else's maintenance of the status quo.

Actually, the Feds merely cut their support and backed the AEUG from a political standpoint, but at no point did the Federation mobilize troops against them.

The only thing the Titans lost was their ability to boss around the regular Fed soldiers and officers. They tried to align themselves with Axis because that was the best means to attain their actual goal; total control over the Earth Sphere.

So they're basically Earth's own Zeon.
