Here's the scary thing - in the supplemental materials its mentioned that this thing was mass-produced by the "Human Army" to kill off all the Innovators during the Human - Innovator war. The Innovators could've used it, but didn't want to as it represented their worst. Apparently the "Human Army" made cyber-Innovators to pilot them in the absence of real ones.

This was a thing? I thought that innovators successfully integrated with regular humans, which is what the move ending showed.

There was a small novel showing what happened after the ELS war. Basically some humans pulled a "Natrual/Coordinator" thing with the Innovades, ELS, Hybrid ELS-Innovades, and Human sympathizers. During this time Celestial Being worked from the shadows again to end conflicts before they went out of control. One memorable story had the Raphael Gundam Dominions snipe a battalion of Gadelazas from outside visual range before they could do any damage.

Too be fair considering people were claiming innovators were the next stage of evolution despite being created via GN particles spamming. It's not too hard to see why some would object oh and the who "Okay were merging with the ELS because they stopped killing us" Thing probably didn't help.

Suffice it to say this could have been a interesting thing but it's prompty ruined in favor of S2's black/white morallity plots and they just go 100% maximum evil.

He didn't really fight the Arios or Cherudim Gundam. Hiling Care and Revive Revival try to help Ribbons take out Setsuna in the 00 Raiser and while he survives a few seconds against all 3 he's quickly overwhelmed and saved from death only by the Cherudim placing a funnel shield in front of a beam shot. At that point H/Allelujah takes on Hiling and Lockon takes out Revival, after which both are out of commission. H/Allelujah is only just after killing Hilling when Ribbons takes him out with some bits. He barely fights the Ptolemiaos II either, with the fight being the Ptolemiaos II shooting at Ribbons a couple of times in quick succession, Ribbons shooting at it in retaliation using a much bigger gun and taking out it's engine after which Sumeragi orders a smoke screen and it's back to Reborns versus Setsuna. Saying he took them all on, especially in a way that implies he did it at once is a tad over-exaggerating. He was a decent pilot, but he was also relying on the power of the Reborns Gundams, especially it's bits.
