Except not really? We've known extremely early that Bugsters consume the host but they're assumed to be separate entities regardless, and are treated as the "bad end" scenario. There's nothing similar in Ex-Aid to Kouta unknowingly murdering Yuya or Hase turning into a monster. On the other hand, "the seemingly mindless enemies you face are actually not that different than you and you're fighting for a lie" are both Urobuchi tropes featured in Gargantia and Madoka, it's not really silly to draw comparisons when Gaim started to pull that bait & switch as well.

KRC and Parad have both been major disappointments.

The mystery behind him is interesting, but when it's "play with emu" every single episode like a fucking autistic child who doesn't have anything better to do, it's not motivating in any regard.

Ghost might've been shit, but it has a clear villain, Adel was threatening and Ganmeizers were threatening up till Mugen.

Parad couldn't keep the show's momentum at all. It was our hype that KRC would be something good and we wanted to know the mystery of Emu's Bugster Virus origins.

But aside from that, the moment Dan died is when the show lost its momentum. Surprisingly it's when Dan returns that everyone is on the edge of their seats, not Parad, not KRC. Nobody gave a shit about either after it was quickly shown to be unable to deliver because shoestring budget and Toei being cheap.

That's why they're making a summer movie be the true ending, because it will have a shit ton of sponsors and it will give them the budget and assets needed to provide a decent blockbuster toku film.

You had the closest amalgam to a fucking point until you said that. The worst part about Ghost was the best villain in the show, Alain, turned good and the closest thing they had was his bootleg ripoff with daddy issues and didn't get off of the KANPEKI NO SEKAI train.

He had no fucking interests in anything other than his KANPEKI NO SEKAI and finding the ROOT OF POWER (I can't remember the exact phrase he fucking spouted every other episode once he first heard it) and basically did everything out of an arbitrary "WELL SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE THE LEADING VILLAIN" problem like what happened with Den-O. But you know what, at least Kai was fucking hammy, Adel didn't even have that going for him.

Parad for most of the show was actually quite interesting given his batshit, alien morals fueling him into becoming a cocktail mix of Daguva, Kanzaki, and Heart. Hell, there were several points where everyone was excited or surprised by him, whereas Adel never had such an instance.
