So did Sunrider have an ending? Dev shouldn't have gone full weeb and pushed for JP voice acting and music, imagine how many shekels were wasted on that.

I think the latest version of the free version of sunrider and liberation day is the peak of what gameplay the devs can do. For them to make games they must stop using it, but the devs have gone full weeb and they won't.

Sunrider 2 smoothed out the gameplay a lot, but I only really played it for the story and they made it far too chuuni. There's hardly anyone left who doesn't have some kind of spontaneous superpower yet.

The JP voices sound dumb because they just kept the English script. A few (mostly Asaga's short lines) actually work, but mostly you're left with awkward lines like Claude's "Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor not a-!" in Japanese.

Sunrider story is falling apart anyways. Liberation day left so many loose plot threads a few games the size of liberation day would be required to tie them up.

Liberation day was going more linear until there were complaints about it and resulted in the captains edition.

Didn't mind the plot of Arcadius, but end of liberation day was pretty bad. Needs to dial back on the cliches for the characters a bit.
