According to the profile on the official site, the Rideplayers come with a customization feature. Nico lowered her control and display capabilities (they're supposed to have a mini-map in their visors showing items and enemy locations for example) in exchange for higher base stats.

A little late, but for the guy with the broken gaia memory, it's possible the memory itself works, but the tiny speaker in the toy wore out or is defective. The same thing happened with a Hibiki fork I bought, the toy technically worked, but the speaker was dead. I had to actually take the toy apart, cut the wires to the speaker, find a similar size toy speaker, and solder it into place of the old one. it worked, but it was a pain in the ass to fix.

Shojiro Nakazawa, the series head director, will direct the movie. Guest performers will join the main cast in the film. The setting seems to be a different, virtual reality world that Emu and Poppy end up in. Hiiro, Taiga, and Nico are all in this different world but with different occupations (?) instead.
