What? Zero-G manufactured alloys are theoretically poisslbe and could have better properties than earthly produced metals. UC does play it up but the RX-78-2 gets wrecked all the time, sometimes even by straight up claws like against the Grabro. It's strong enough to ward off 120mm rounds but not much bigger. Even the magella top heavily damaged the Gundam and Hamon's suicide run was considered a lethal threat.
