They really were though. They were just lazily imagined close combat fighters for the most part, made worse that a lot are just Gundams with different paint jobs and varying amounts of pseudo-pla-plate gubbinz and pointy bits. Well, it's a very experimental line all the same, and Bandai was vindicated with the Efreet RE/100.

It sold so well on its own merits it became (or was intended to be) a testbed for sales of the model, and now in two months(?) we're getting the first HGUC Efreet Schneid.

Try actually building a RE/100 kit. They rely on stickers for detail colors, there are things you have to paint outright, the articulation is only passable, the engineering is bare minimum, the sculpt is mediocre, and the whole thing is very much reminiscent of a scaled up HG. Which, well, it is.

Fuck, buy the RE/100 Dijeh and tell me straight to my face that that piece of shit has "just as musch if not more effort" put into it than the average MG. That way I can know for certain you're insane.

What I wouldn't do for an MG (TRY) (Kamiki) Build Burning.

GBF was totes better than Try but I still had fun with Try. Star Winning and Tryon 3 were fantastic gimmicks and alot of fights were fun clashes of fighting spirit but it's a shame that it pushed that angle for most of the fights so it started wearing thin.

GBF allows many things not possible for normal Gundam shows.

For example, I want a spinoff where the protagonists all use monoeye units exclusively. And convert classic antagonist gunpla into heroic designs and colours. This doesn't work in normal TV series, but in GBF it is allowed.
