Did you not watch Gaim with its weekly plastic furniture massacres?

After the shit of the last two parter and all the complains I've had of Champ having to passively accept working with the guy who murdered his dad, I'm happy this episode went the way it did with no Lucky butting in and everything feeling like it came naturally from the characters.

Next episode looks Lucky unfocused, too, he's not among those dressed up.

They're likely splitting Champ and Stinger off so they can continue their adventure through b-plots similar to what they did before Stinger joined the team in full. Kotaro is probably due to child labor laws and also for potential b-plots. I doubt either will be separated for too long. Kotaro needs to return before Soldier after all.

Also by only taking three away you can still form the combined mech.

I loved how, generally, it was Xiao and Kotaro that had the most impact on things. Characters that share a bond with Stinger and understand things about him the others don't. Lucky did get a word or two in edgewise but it was just to showcase his abrasive personality rather than effect the story.

Mixed thoughts on them writing Kotaro out of the story for now, the little shit was growing on me and he's probably one of the better characterised members of the team. I'm assuming he'll be using Ooguma Skyblue instead of Koguma Skyblue when he returns, I guess.
