Yes. Loni's handled much better and Banagher in general is more willing to do the dirty work required to see his goals through. Fukui is also far less inclined to use actual reality warping magic, unlike the OVA's director who believes psycofields can literally move stars. So we don't get anything like the Neo Zeong manifesting Full Frontal's wishes to rob the Unicorn and Banshee of their weapons.

There's still a colony laser scene though and Godcorn, it's just more ambiguous as to what the Banagher-Unicorn is, like another Axis miracle rather than reality warping tech.
