Would have had it done about a month ago if the 100% seeders on nyaa (before the fall) didn't leave the torrent to die at 96% for me and others, but it downloading off other people at about 10-20kb and I thought it might fill in the blanks for me since I downloaded disk by disk, but it never did.

So, I had to go to asiandvdclub to DL the remaining 2GB for the 4% or so for each file left on the final disc. Well, it's all in the past now. Enjoy.

My problem with the anime is that while it's fun it's just not nearly as good as the manga.

Seriously those mental battles later on are insanely good, the series is not just punching hard, well it is but it has a lot of different battles, lots of strategy in some of them and it's just really cool. Also personalities are changed, I feel teppei is more generic in the anime, he starts generic in the manga but the story punishes him for it making him fail because he acted rashly like your typical shonen mc.

There's a really(REALLY) small group that got the license to b't x and they will be releasing it this year. They already released Raijin-oh a couple years ago and I read in ANN and CR that they've got more people now for this project and they want to make it better since they're more experienced now.

In march or so they posted this coming soon pic in their facebook.

So anyways I don't like to shill but I think these guys deserve it, they're not a company, they're not rich either so I think it's good to support them considering they pick these old anime nobody wants to pic, maybe they'll grow.

I forgot to mention that the subs have some typos and other oddities. They're not outrageously bad or anything, but I kinda suspect that the translator was paid very poorly or on a tight schedule. Probably both.

I've only watched the first few episodes, though, so I have no idea how consistent the quality is. From what I did watch, sometimes it seemed like the translator was actually trying, other times not so much. Maybe they had multiple translators, I have no idea.

I'm 28, it had to end some time. Truth be told, it's hard to even care about Gundam at all anymore (most of you know I'm pretty damn casual and haven't seen many other /m/ shows), so there's this big chapter of my life kind of closing shut. It was honestly a pleasure though, despite all my whining during the multiple times I've "retired". I regret the amount of time I spent doing this, but I also am kind of thankful in a way, as I made a living on the skillset.

Might as well ask here. There's an old series that has only DVD English releases available, and while the video quality is alright, vobsubs look pretty bad.
I have also noticed Bluray raws available for the series and was thinking about perhaps ripping the vobsubs, stylizing and re-timing them so that I can slap them on top of Bluray raws.

Is such practice even worth the trouble? Don't have much experience with video encoding so I'm unsure whether the video quality would be up to par.

By raws, do you mean raw encodes or the BD discs? In any case, it depends on the type of animation since digital is easier to encode and what your machine can handle.
