Who said that was a good fight scene? It's filled with money saving measures, but that's Tomino all over really; animating the slow or unimportant stuff badly so the money goes where it needs to go. The series itself is good, even that episode is decent on the whole but Teteth's death isn't a particularly impressive scene from a writing or animation standpoint.

It's not a particularly exciting action scene and the character isn't played all that sympathetic meaning there's no major emotional impact in it even if you watch it in context, so I don't blame you. The scene is more important in setting up Meme Midgard, the guy with the gun (and yes, his first name actually is Meme) as a slimy asshole and, more broadly, questioning again just what the Turn-A is to say Teteth and others are so fixated on it along with showcasing how different life on Earth is to the Moon, that Teteth was willing to do so much shit to go back. I will say the character is given some extra impact after the fact, because her mother comes out of cyrosleep later (looking younger than her) and starts asking if anyone knows her in a small scene, which the show barely even acknowledges and is obviously left never knowing what happened to her daughter or where she is - which is kind of sad. She's not a great character really though.
