i like that the regular heavyarms had a beam saber in his elbow, that was neat

I love when mecha incorporate 'helmets' into their heads, in particular the style on the bottom row looks pretty neat to me.

Armor with "sockets" or ports that allow for customizability, like the Ryuki suits.

Alternatively, external ammo or missile pods that eject themselves off their guns after they're spent.

i'm not really a fan of this personally, but to each their own

i felt that the more allelujah's suits got bindery and draggy, they looked less like actual aircraft and didn't "feel" aerodynamic to me.

I probably deserve a thousands deaths for this but I do enjoy my glowy luminescent bits over my mecha. Similarly I've always found the "eye-glow" moments in mecha/toku really satisfying/cool.

I like that, but only in settings where finite ammo is a thing. Like if everyone in the setting has movie-tier infinite ammo, except for that one guy who has the use and purge gimmick on his mecha, it's a bit shitty. Pic very related.
