Please can we ignore the shitposter? Its part of the Kamen Rider charm that they always try and use English for stuff but continually fuck it up and have to make corrections.

Just look at how they spelled Amazons Alpha name as Alfa, but its clearly meant to be Alpha. Its just an unintentional part of the KR aesthetic.

No. I can defend the first two-thirds of Ghost to some degree. I often have here.

That last third however is absolute trash. It's poorly paced, it's poorly directed, it's poorly written. It has no redeeming qualities except for maybe Akari's arc to some degree.

Ghost really peeks high during Alain's redemption arc and starts to pick up as that plot runs. Nothing amazing, but it was decent fun. To see it crash and burn so badly after that arc was upsetting for me.

The beginning is kind of rushed since they try to pull a victim of the week format with one shot episodes, and the main hero is a generic good intentioned teen that keeps hesitating and needing to find his resolve again after a couple of times.

They drop that after a while and the show improves, but after a certain point, every Rider besides the main one gets nothing to do besides jobbing to new enemies and destroying recycled suits, while the main Rider himself becomes even blander than before - a completely perfect hero with no flaws. The main villains and monsters of the week also are replaced by a completely generic conquer the world type and personality-less robots... and that just goes on and on until the final few episodes of the show, since the main writer was away for months, so the show couldn't move on.

The final arc itself still keeps every Rider besides the main one useless and still fails to make the main Rider interesting or relatable. They try to sell that he's losing his humanity, but the only disadvantage they seem to think about is how he can't taste food, which they bring up in the movie and then the tv show, and the show couldn't even hold onto that and allows him to go back to being a normal human at the end.

It was boring as fuck and the writing was all over the place. By the second time Takeru got revived you realized there is actually no sense of danger in the series.

That being said it had its moments.
Granny and Alain were great.
Every Driver and Eyecon had its own flair and sounds even down to one persons eyecon in another driver (See Necrom in Spectres Driver) and they were all great,
While most of the Parkas in the series were mediocre some were amazing and i really enjoyed the concept of them, the Legend Rider Eyecon/Parkas are great and beat out Ex-Aids.

The last part of the show is the real bad part. It more like "Why is this happening" than anything. I still say the first half is pretty decent. Specter has a good debut, the final fight of that arc is good, Alain's arc is good. But that 2nd half. To me its the opposite of Drive where the first half was meh and they found their footing for the 2nd half, though still with some problems.

I mostly agree. I think the show focusing entirely on Alain, his family, and the Ganma world would have been for the best.

I would however have been fine with Takeru being the main rider if they showcased his big brother/little brother relationship with Makoto more. It kind of just vanishes after a certain point.

I also think if he was more vulnerable it would have been okay. Like have his therapist role maintained, but have it come more from a place of him not understanding how to care about himself. Perhaps due to him knowing nothing about life outside of being the head of a temple and that alienates him from caring about his own life. Instead the show just had him not care because he was too good of a person, which is really stupid.

Small changes that could have gone a long way.

The first few arcs of Decade all had genderswaps. The detective from Kuuga, then Wataru's parents were a Fangire King that fell for a female human violinist, and Ryuki worked for the Atashi Journal rather than Ore Journal (female first person pronoun vs male one).

Sho Aikawa seemingly stopped doing it once Yonemura broke the pattern with the Blade world though. I don't think Faiz and Agito had any genderswaps.

Can the "Ex-Aid has bad suit designs" group fuck off? If you can't appreciate designs that don't comply to the ideals of conventional coolness then your taste is objectively lacking.
Understanding that things don't actually have to be the coolest to be good can go a long way in a lot of situations. In Ex-Aid's case in particular it's resulted in some really interesting designs and ideas and just really fun shit we'd never get elsewhere. It's not bad if you prefer the cooler stuff, that's all still great just, it's sad that some people can't even see what Ex-Aids suits are actually worth.
